Grapefruit Seed Extract Grapefruit Seed Extract will accelerate the trace in cold process soapmaking. It is an extremely potent bactericide, fungicide, antiviral and antiparasitic compound made from the seeds and pulp of grapefruit. Our GSE is 60% citrus extractives and 40% vegetable glycerine. (Other uses: I use a about 10 drops per litre of water when I’m sprouting seeds as a mould inhibitor. It’s also great for cleaning bird cages.)

Rhassoul Clay Rhassoul Clay, also know as Moroccan Lava Clay, has been used for hundreds of years on its own as a soap, skin conditioner and a shampoo. The only known source in the world is deep beneath the Atlas Mountains in Eastern Morocco. Along with being an gentle exfoliant it is a wonderful skin conditioner. Added to soap, it gives it a nice gentle scrub a pretty rosebrown colour. Used on it’s own rhassoul clay is a great exfoliant that reduces dryness and flakiness, and improves skin’s elasticity.
